Ur-Krostitzer is a beer brand from the place of Krostitz near Leipzig. The logo of the brewery is the portrait of the Swedish king Gustav II Adolf (Gustavus Adolphus). In 1631 the king was on his way to Leipzig when he came by the village of Krostitz. He ordered a lavishing drink from the local brewers. To thank them the king gave a golden ring to the master brewer. Best bear in Germany :)
